For this trimester studio unit, we did three presentations. One was in week two where we did the initial pitch which in did a vlog on (2018, July 08).
The next presentation was on week 5 as part of weekly presentations. It was just a quick update where we talked about the progress. The progress was subtle. We had the model done for the mask. I showed a timeline of the mask model from the initial design to the latest approved design.
The next update was the confirmation on the location, we had already confirmed with the marketing manager about the location.
At this point my team member had the animation test and the models done. But there were initial testing. We presented it to the class and got appropriate feedback.
Then we talked about the planning ahead. We were limited to next week as we thought we will have more weekly presentations. But this was our last weekly presentations before beta pitch week 8.
The reactions were very mild as we did not have much to show as we were preparing to print the mask. We promised to deliver on the next update in week 8.
On week 8, we showed the updates to the mask, the 3D print.
I talked about how I printed the mask and how I managed to join the mask which was printed in 2 parts. Then I talked about the sanding, then applying putty and sanding more, and then painting the mask. I even got the mask to class to show it to my classmates and lecturers. We were waiting to receive our footage from the shoot that was already over. Furthermore, we showed the updates on the arm models and animation test and future planning.
